Cabinet Report | Marketing Strategy | Management Plan

The Borough of Telford & Wrekin, in 2003, produced a Town Park Management Plan. It can be downloaded from here - the 'Contact Us' page at www.telfordtownpark.co.uk. However, it's a massive 46 Mb download so unless you have a fast connection it may take some time.

We have provided some interesting snippets here - but of course this not the 'authorised' version although it is simply extracted text from the original.

It includes an Action Plan covering the period 2003 to 2013 and as far as we know it has not been withdrawn. Read more here.

The Borough also produced a Town Park Marketing Strategy, with an Action Plan covering the period 2004 to 2007. Again we provide some extracts here. You can download the document itself from the official Town Park website - go to www.telfordtownpark.co.uk and click on 'Contact Us'. This is a much smaller download, over 1Mb but nothing like as chunky as the Management Plan.

On 20th March the Cabinet accepted a report on the Town Park Strategic Framework 2006 to 2021 - the report is available in pdf format from the council's website here. (1.7Mb pdf). Look for Item 5, Appendix C.

The Strategic Framework is also available, but it is a massive document. HOOP members have studied it carefully but we cannot reproduce it here.

We have of course studied many other official documents and are in the process of reviewing more, as we find out more and more about how Telford's green spaces are being gobbled up for housing.
